Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office For her role, she received the Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from An Ensemble Comedy.
Jenna was raised in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna spent her childhood watching her mother, Anne, in church productions. It instilled in her a love for theatre.
Fischer is an actress who has theatre training. She was a part of Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. At the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere, she played opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's hilarious comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office star Angela Kinsey's best friend in real life and Fischer started with the Office Ladies podcast, on Earwolf on October, the year 2019. The podcast quickly gained popularity. Every week it ranked among the Top Ten in global downloads, with over 200 million downloads in its initial two years. The podcast premiered in January of 2021. Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She is the author of two books: The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide, in which she recounts her experience to St. Louis to Hollywood in order to be a professional actor, as well as the upcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office From Two of the Best Friends who were there (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) This book provides the story of their greatest friendship as well as their work on The Office.
