However, after meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences in the way people were treated by her. "I wanted to know Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with our parents and those who went out on her own. She said, 'Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the all the time! This made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to her parents. She said that she was angry, but she felt it was necessary to use her anger to support her daughters. Heigl along with her husband of 13 years -- singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. The couple's daughter Nancy Leigh was adopted from South Korea by the couple in 2009; Adalaide is a Black 8-year-old girl who adopted in the year 2012.
