Following college, she auditioned and was selected for the role of Van in Atlanta. Beetz is a native of Berlin and was the daughter of a German father, and an African American mother. She was raised both within New York. Zazie has been involved in acting since childhood and was a part of several community theatres. Zendaya landed an Disney Channel breakout role thanks to Zendaya's impressive dance abilities. Dancer and actress Zendaya made her breakthrough in 2010when she starred as Rocky Blue alongside Bella Thorne in the TV show "Shake It up. Zendaya went vegetarian at eleven after passing by a killinghouse together with her dad during a trip. PEOPLE told them that she stated: "I thought all those animals were horrible, being packed into there and just waiting to be killed. I couldn't believe that's how I'd been getting my meat!" Seit then, she has maintained a vegetarian lifestyle.
