April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, started taking piano and guitar lessons from age seven. Her interest in songwriting was awakened. At the age of seven April started taking piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her interest in writing songs. She spent lots of time when she was 14 writing songs and practicing the piano. She started writing songs alongside her father and her dad in NY and LA within a short time. April began including other topics in Take My Hand for the people in her life who are struggling in the face of peer pressure, disability or even suicidal thoughts. Lockhart was born with no left hand, and it's part of her story, but that's not the entire story.
