Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 in the Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor who would become Comaneci's coach later in life, discovered her at age six. She first competed in the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She took the title in the year 1970. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she was awarded three medals of gold. In 1973 and '74 she was the junior champion in all aspects. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals in her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. This was the first time she participated as a senior. The year was 1976 when she won the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female to ever dismount bars in parallel with a double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry as a teenager performing as the figure skating duo of the sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. In her early years she was a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured ice skating shows with theatrical shows.
