Her birth date was March 29, 1985 in Roswell New Mexican. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Her parents are Mexican as well as American. Since she was a child she's had a keen desire to participate in sports. Gerina first began playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina finished her high school studies in Goddard High School. When she was in high school, she took home the New Mexico state golf tournament. A volleyball player, she was also a participant in state tournaments. She was a student at the University of Texas in 2003. She won all of the competitions she participated in during her final years. In the course of her undergraduate studies she won the titles that included Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Year.
